Fairytale and Televisions

An experimental project I created during thanksgiving break. Here's the program note.

"Fairytale and Television" is a sonification and visualization of a fairy tale audiobook done in Unity. This piece explores the use of lights and shadow, the wording in text as well as the rhythm in the speaking language. The aesthetics is partially inspired by pixel art. There are five different types of television in the piece, each of them has its own sound library and condition to trigger sounds.If the condition is met, the program will determine if the television should play a sound based on probability. The choice of sound in the television's sound library is also based on probability. If a television plays a sound, a pattern will be played on the television screen as well, different type of television has different patterns.
